As the struggle continues, the man appears to resist and reach for an item in his waistband or pocket before getting up. Police later confirmed that Bender had a gun, which was found at the scene.

We would assume that reaching into a pocket would mean weapon. HOWEVER, this man was shot in the back and no weapon was visible. No evidence of a warning given, simply a frightened cop but was he frightened?
This cop took down, single handedly, a very large individual. Was there a reason for no backup?
Also, black San Bernadino officers say their department is a toxic/racist environment.
Thus, we accept we aren’t dealing with a pansy chickenshit cop, this is a real tough guy. We also think the suspect may have had a weapon, but was one recovered ON CAMERA WITHOUT CUTTING AWAY?
What we can say is that the officer needed to back up more, give 3 warnings while backing up and only then fire.
We also want to hear his explanation, for all of it, we want to know what he saw because video isn’t always the answer.
We also want to know why he didn’t wait for backup. We want that answer also and the officer may well have a good one.
Then we would like to know something about this officer.
