CNN Reporter Fights Local Anchor Over Border Wall Story CNN Didn’t Run

Will Donald Trump Win the 2020 Election?

CNN got into hot water this week from viewers after it was reported that it squashed a story on the border wall.

A local reporter said that CNN squashed the report after it learned that the reporter was going to highlight the effectiveness of the wall.

Thursday morning, CNN called the KUSI Newsroom asking if one of our reporters could give them a local view of the debate surrounding the border wall and government shutdown.

KUSI offered our own Dan Plante, who has reported dozens of times on the border, including one story from 2016 that was retweeted by former Speaker of the House, Newt Gingrich, and posted on DrudgeReport.com. The Border Fence Tour is below.

We believe CNN declined a report from KUSI because we informed them that most Border Patrol Agents we have spoken to told us the barrier does in fact work.

We have continuously been told by Border Patrol Agents that the barrier along the Southern border helps prevent illegal entries, drugs, and weapons from entering the United States, and the numbers prove it.

CNN shot back against the idea on Twitter.

“We called several local stations to book someone for a show. We didn’t end up booking any of them. That happens many times every single day. We did, however, book a reporter from KUSI for a story on immigration and the border wall in November. This is a non story. #factsfirst,” it said.

Is CNN biased against Trump?

But that was not enough for CNN’s Bill Weir who confronted KUSI’s Sandra Mass on Twitter.

“So then this happened today…” Mass wrote to a tweet in which President Donald Trump highlighted the story.

“Genuine question: How does it feel to sell off a chunk of your soul? Was there a moment when you flashed back to yourself at Chico, remembered the earnest pull to journalism and had second thoughts? Or were you all-in at the morning meeting?” Weir shot back.

“Genuine answer: I slept just fine last night. I appreciate the background check, but I’m going to stay classy here in San Diego,” Mass said.

“Your boss admitted to @dbauder that he used you to pass off his ideology as news, Sandra. Looking forward to a classy and well-rested retraction,” Weir said.

“And that’s the story we said on air. Don’t twist things. Get back to reporting real news. We have some serious problems in this country that need fixing. Stop wasting my time,” she said.
