Dems Falling All Over Themselves To Defend Anti-Semitism, But Nothing Compares To What One Leader Just Said

From Kamala Harris and Bernie Sanders, to Nancy Pelosi and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez-Stalin, the anti-Semitism of Rep. Ilhan Omar has revealed the disgusting hypocrisy of the modern Democrat Party.

Take for example what Democrat James Clyburn just said about the ongoing controversy that’s quickly spilling out of control.

According to Clyburn, Omar’s anti-Semitism is nothing to worry about because she’s a fighter and a survivor. You know, just like Holocaust survivors.

From The Daily Caller:

South Carolina Democratic House Majority Whip James Clyburn defended Minnesota Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar from accusations of anti-Semitism Wednesday.

Clyburn’s defense focused on the fact that Omar is a refugee, and he claimed that her experiences escaping violence in her home country are worse than those of descendants of Holocaust survivors.

Omar ruffled feathers with comments she made last week regarding the “dual loyalty” she believes members of Congress are expected to have toward Israel. Many of her colleagues on both sides of the aisle have condemned her statements, including some members of the Foreign Affairs Committee on which she sits.

Alternatively, some Democrats, including Clyburn, have come to Omar’s defense. …

The Hill reported, “Clyburn came to Omar’s defense Wednesday, lamenting that many of the media reports surrounding the recent controversy have omitted mentioning that Omar, who was born in Somalia, had to flee the country to escape violence and spent four years in a Kenyan refugee camp before coming to the United States.”

The article then quoted him saying, “I’m serious about that. There are people who tell me, ‘Well, my parents are Holocaust survivors.’ ‘My parents did this.’ It’s more personal with her. I’ve talked to her, and I can tell you she is living through a lot of pain.” …

Among those Democrats now openly defending anti-Semitism are two front-runners for the 2020 nomination for president.

Kamala Harris and Bernie Sanders are both going all in behind Rep. Ilhan Omar, too.

From The Hill:

Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) defended Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) on Thursday as the freshman congresswoman endures a storm of controversy surrounding her criticism of AIPAC and Israel and accusations of anti-Semitism.

Harris, who is running for president in 2020, wrote in a statement obtained by HuffPost that the continued attention directed at Omar, the first Muslim-American woman to serve in Congress, puts her at risk of possible violence.

“We all have a responsibility to speak out against anti-Semitism, Islamophobia, homophobia, transphobia, racism, and all forms of hatred and bigotry,” Harris said.

“But like some of my colleagues in the Congressional Black Caucus, I am concerned that the spotlight being put on Congresswoman Omar may put her at risk,” she added. …

Harris’s fellow 2020 contender Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) also defended Omar on Wednesday, calling the attention surrounding the freshman congresswoman an attempt to silence legitimate criticism of Israel.

“What I fear is going on in the House now is an effort to target Congresswoman Omar as a way of stifling that debate,” he said in a statement. “That’s wrong.” …
