Florida governor Ron DeSantis (R.) blasted the media on Wednesday for predicting his state would be ravaged by coronavirus as severely as New York.

“Wait two weeks, Florida’s going to be next. Just like Italy, wait two weeks,” he said mockingly. “Well hell, we’re eight weeks away from that, and it hasn’t happened.”

“We’ve succeeded, and I think that people don’t want to recognize it because it challenges their narrative.”
