Graham Warns North Korea: ‘Don’t Play Trump’ or ‘You’ll Regret It’

Will Donald Trump Win the 2020 Election?

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R., S.C.) issued a word of warning to North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un on Monday, saying he shouldn’t try to “play” President Donald Trump in nuclear negotiations.

Trump and Kim are planning to meet over the rogue nation’s nuclear program, potentially sometime in May. Trump has stated he defines denuclearization as, “They get rid of their nukes.”

“If [Kim] wants to meet with Trump, and he doesn’t deliver, and he tries to play Trump like his family’s played other presidents, that’s the worst possible thing he could do, because this president is serious about making sure they can never have a nuclear weapon hit the homeland,” Graham said on Fox News.

“Don’t play Trump. Word of advice to North Korea. If you try to play this guy, you’ll regret it,” he added.

Graham said there was no longer any “middle ground” for North Korea if these talks didn’t work out.

“Peace or war is now your option,” he said.

The South Korean government said Sunday Kim would abandon his nuclear weapons if the U.S. pledged not to invade the country.

Kim and South Korean president Moon Jae In had a historic meeting Friday, shaking hands and embracing in what marked the first time ever a North Korean leader had set foot in South Korea. They made a joint statement announcing the shared goal of denuclearization, but the North Korean regime’s crimes against its own people were not addressed.
