We still aren’t abiding by the rule that if you want to talk about something, you have to know what you’re talking about.

So many leftists and Democrats who are just certain we want their opinion on guns have zero understanding at all of guns.

Worse than that, many of these leftist Democrats are lawmakers, and they get to vote on issues that affect the Second Amendment with nary a nit of knowledge on the subject.

Take New York Rep. Carolyn Maloney. The 13-term Democrat represents parts of Manhattan, Queens and Brooklyn. A big-city, New York liberal if ever there was one. And ignorant. My, how she is ignorant.

In the wake of the Feb. 14 Florida school shooting, Maloney, along with pretty much all of her liberal friends, started calling for more gun control. Maloney had an interesting take. She called for a ban on “massacre machine gun magazines.”

Which is interesting, because not only did shooter Nikolas Cruz not use a “machine gun,” but that she put “massacre” in front of “machine gun” shows how desperate they are to create some emotional ties to what they call “assault” weapons. Here’s the clip, courtesy the Washington Free Beacon:

“If guns made this country safer, we would be the safest country on earth, but we are far from it,” Maloney told reporters outside of the U.S. Capitol Building.

“We need to really act in a number of ways. We need to pass an assault weapon ban, we need to ban the massacre machine gun magazines, and we need comprehensive background checks,” she continued. “These are all bills and efforts that Democrats have supported.”

Say what?

Rep. Maloney needs to study up on issues before opening her mouth.

There is no such thing as a “massacre machine gun magazine,” Rep. Maloney. Try again.
