The NFL took a nosedive several years ago following controversy created by former quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who went from player to social justice activist overnight when he kicked off a sickening trend of kneeling during the playing of the National Anthem.

The situation calmed for a few years, but once again the NFL is bowing to the left and now, even the announcers are getting in on the action.

According to Breitbart, famous NFL announcers Joe Buck and Troy Aikman made waves on Monday night after they made what many believe are disparaging remarks about the traditional military flyover, which to any patriotic American who appreciates the U.S. military, is nothing less than an honor to experience in person.

Reportedly caught on a hot mic, Buck and Aikman were clearly heard questioning the flyovers, given the fact that there are hardly any fans in the stands because of the NFL’s Covid-19 rules for this season.

Both announcers not only had negative feelings about the traditional flyover, but Aikman, who’s apparently somewhat of a Biden surrogate, essentially plugged the Biden/Harris ticket in the same breath.

Aikman: “That’s a lot of jet fuel just to do a little flyover.”

Buck: “That’s your hard-earned money and your tax dollars at work.”

Aikman: “That stuff ain’t happening with [a] Kamala-Biden ticket, I’ll tell you that right now partner.

Adding insult to injury, Aikman even referred to the two Democratic nominees as the “Kamala-Biden” ticket, but failed to explain why he believes military flyovers wouldn’t happen under that administration. Apparently, Biden supporters are under the impression that jet fuel will not be used under his fantasy of a “Kamala-Biden” ticket? Who knows.

Beyond the stupid remark that was nothing short of a slap in the face to America’s elite pilots in the U.S. military, the blowback on social media was swift and fierce, with many believing that the remarks were truly representative of what the NFL as a whole thinks about our military and our country.

Others pointed out that the military coordinates these flyovers with pre-planned training missions, meaning that there’s no additional cost to U.S. taxpayers. Many correctly reminded those who agreed with Buck and Aikman that an astonishing amount of taxpayer money is provided to NFL teams and their ridiculously expensive stadiums.

I can’t say for sure exactly how Buck and Aikman feel about the U.S. military, but having been caught on a hot mic trashing our troops says enough for me. I love football, I really do, but moments like these make me question whether or not I should give the sport even another second of my time.
