Nikki Haley to Newsmax TV: Hold Onto Your Wallet, Biden WH Will Be Left of Obama

If you were expecting a center-left Joe Biden administration, think again, former Ambassador to the U.N. Nikki Haley tells Newsmax TV.

“I’m not gonna lie, I’m extremely concerned about what’s going on,” Haley, who was appointed by President Donald Trump, told Thursday’s “Spicer & Co.”

Haley pointed to Iran, where Biden is in the process of reentering the nuclear agreement forged by former President Barack Obama, but ended under Trump over accusations the Iranian government continued to enrich uranium past levels allowed under the accords.

She also noted Trump’s actions in China, telling host Sean Spicer he was the first president “to really hold them to account on stealing our trade secrets,” and calling them out on human rights violations.

“And you have Biden, who said he didn’t think China was that much of a threat,” she said.

Even on the Paris Climate Agreement, “China basically had their way, and it put all of the onus on the United States, yet Biden wants to get back into the Paris Climate Agreement,” Haley added.

Biden’s staff picks are retreads from the Obama years, she noted, from former Secretary of State John Kerry to ex-National Security Adviser Susan Rice.

“You you don’t have to be that much of a historian to know where this is going,” she said. “I think this is gonna be to the left of Obama. I think we need to hold on to your wallet.”

Haley, who served as governor of South Carolina and was a former critic of the president before her appointment as U.N. ambassador, has formed a political action committee, Stand for America PAC, which she said will promote unity in the party and seek to win back suburban and women voters, while holding on to the new voters brought into the Republican Party by Trump.

“There’s nothing the Democrat party would love more than to see the Republican party further divided,” she said.

“I think what happened on Jan. 6 was an embarrassment to the world. I think it was a sad day for America, and I think that we really have to recover,” but she added she told the Republican National Committee in a recent speech they should not use the actions of a some to turn their backs and forget Trump’s successes during the past four years.

“Those are some amazing successes; the policies were right,” she said, noting “many . . . good quality women . . . from all different backgrounds” were elected to Congress on the GOP ticket this election cycle.

Biden and the Democratic Party will spend the next 2-4 years pushing bigger government, she warned.

“They think government can spend your money better than you can,” she concluded. “They think that government bureaucrats can run your business is better than the job creators. They think they need to decide what kids need in school instead of going back to the history books.”
