Rick Perry Warns That Democrats’ ‘Green Energy’ Push Will Result In American Deaths

I’m sure by now that you’ve heard of the awful, historic snow and ice storms experienced in the state of Texas over the past few days. The issues that have arisen as a result of the storm bring into light a number of extremely concerning issues around the push for “green energy” that you hear Democrats talk about incessantly.

According to the Washington Examiner, former Energy Secretary under President Donald Trump and former Texas governor, Mr. Rick Perry, issued a dire warning about green energy after the catastrophe in Texas this week.

“They don’t care about your lives in those cases,” Perry said, pointing a finger at radical progressives like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and others in the Democrat party who believe wind turbines and solar panels should replace the fossil fuel industry completely.

“I mean, think about if we were in the AOC world, fast forward 10 years, and everything is solar, everything is wind,” Perry told Fox News host Tucker Carlson. “And you have this type of event, this type of, I mean, it’s 9 degrees in Round Top, Texas, we’re the same latitude as Houston, 9 degrees. And if you don’t have power, you’re gonna, you’re gonna die. I mean, there are countless lives that could be lost with this type of reckless adhering to a philosophy that, quite frankly, is not scientific.”

Even during the interview with Carlson, Perry lost power, joining millions of other Texans who were fighting brutally cold weather with no power in their home to heat it. You can watch the clip and the part where Perry cut out below.

Perry also pointed out the other massive story that broke as Texas was overcome with a rare, extreme winter storm — the fact that wind turbines, which are supposed to be the future, froze up by the hundreds. Thank God that wind turbines only make up 25 percent of the state’s energy resources, or else millions more might be in deadly trouble.

That’s another point that Perry made and I think any reasonable person would agree with — wind turbines and solar panels are great, but they should — at most — be just a small part of a diverse energy grid. Think about it like your stock portfolio or 401k — you don’t drop all your investment money into one single, aggressive fund.

Do you think what happened in Texas will cause lawmakers to rethink the New Green Deal?

“So, the point is you need to have a diversity of energy sources no matter where you are,” Perry said. “And [there] couldn’t be a greater example of that in the state of Texas right now. We got a massive amount of wind farms out in West Texas that are frozen up there just like a propeller on an airplane. They froze up last night, no wind out there. All of that wind energy was lost.”

We can only hope and pray that Democrats don’t completely destroy the fossil fuel-fired energy sector before Republicans can take back the House and hopefully the Senate, or we’re all in very dangerous trouble.
