Washington Post Reporter Forced to Admit Last Nights Debate Was a Disaster, Still Gets it Wrong

Will Donald Trump Win the 2020 Election?

The Democratic debate last night was such a train wreck the even the Washington Post’s national political reporter Robert Costa was forced to admit it.

On the MSNBC program Deadline White House Costa said “For many moderates in the party, last night was a disaster, because they were hoping either Mayor Bloomberg would take control of the race or Mayor Buttigieg or Senator Klobuchar, Vice President Biden would take control of the message and that wing of the party,”

“Instead, it remains scattered, it remains Balkanized in the centrist wing of the Democratic Party. And Senator Sanders, when you look at national polling, continues to surge ahead and ahead of Super Tuesday when 14 states will vote, that puts a lot of top Democratic establishment types in a complicated position. Who is actually going to be their standard-bearer in the long run?”

He’s right that the debate was a disaster for Democrats.

Bernie is going to run away with the thing because the so called moderates are fighting among themselves.

Democrat’s hoped for savior Michael Bloomberg crashed and burned on national television. To Bloomberg’s advantage is he can go the distance and far more people.

Where Costa went wrong, very wrong was thinking that Bloomberg, Buttigieg, Klobuchar or Biden are moderates.

Was the Las Vegas debate a disaster for Democrats?

Bloomberg represents everything the Bernie wing thinks is wrong with billionaires. Someone who is using his money to buy the nomination and the election for personal gain. Not to mention all of disparaging things he’s said on video.

Buttigieg and Klobuchar can in no way be described as moderate and Biden is having trouble thinking straight under the strain of a losing campaign.

For once the RNC and Team Trump can agree with Robert Costa that last nights debate was a disaster.

Kayleigh McEnany, the Trump campaign’s national press secretary issued a statement on Twitter, claiming none of the candidates on the stage would “be able to go toe to toe with President Trump in November.”

“The Democrat Party is in the midst of a full-scale meltdown. Americans are watching the party of JFK be torn apart by anti-job socialists and anti-worker globalists who want to control every aspect of Americans’ lives,” McEnany tweeted.

“This train wreck is nothing compared to what they would do to our country,” she added.

Then RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel responded in a separate statement, saying, “Unfortunately for Democrats, what happened in Las Vegas won’t stay in Vegas. Americans witnessed tonight that today’s Democrat party is willing to gamble away our future with socialist policies. They saw that their party is willing to change debate rules to benefit a liberal billionaire, but not minority candidates who ran. The fact the Democrat field is still so wide open shows how weak it truly is.”

“Americans are on a winning streak thanks to the Trump Administration’s pro-growth, America first policies,” McDaniel continued. “Come November, Nevadans, and voters across the country, will double-down on President Trump’s record of real results and re-elect him to a second term.”

And of course President Trump who was at a rally in Phoenix during the Democrats debate had to get in on the action and tweeted:

All in all, it sure looks like the Democrats, especially Michael Bloomberg, had a very bad night last night. Lets hope its a harbinger of what’s to come moving forward.
